e hospital on Monday, a family assaulted a lady doctor after her alleged negligence claimed a newborn’s life.
According to reports, in a private maternity home around two days ago, a newborn child died, prompting the affected family t
o storm the facility and torture the lady doctor.
A resident of
Gakhar, who was nine months pregnant, was getting checked by Dr Rubina Anwar, wife of Medical Superintendent (MS) of District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, at her privat
e hospital on GT Road.
The mother said that Rubina reported her case to be normal throughout her visits. However, the family was later advised to take the
patient to a hospital in Lahore with better facilities due to ‘m
ishandling’ during the operation.
The newborn died in a hospital in Lahore, according to the family.
